What types of publications can I use with this assistive device?

It's very flexible! You can use it to read hardcover books, paperback and your favorite magazines.

What size of books and magazines can the FLIP turner help me read?

The page turner can handle most books or magazines - with a minimum size of about 4x6 inches, and a maximum size of about 8x11.5 inches, and a thickness of about an inch.

Can I use a switch to use this assistive device?

Yes! In fact, when you purchase a FLIP automatic page turner, you will also receive one Jelly Bean switch to help get you started.

You'll be able to access the controls with single-switch automatic scanning or two-switch direct selection, or just press a button. It's up to you.

How long does it take to set up a book?

On average, you'll be able to add a book or magazine in about two minutes. From there, you'll be able to turn pages in about eight seconds.

How well does it really work?

The FLIP automatic page turner has been extensively tested. Average results are excellent - 96% accuracy in page turning.

How much space do I need for the unit and stand?

You'll be pleased to know that this assistive technology is designed to be desktop friendly.

The unit size is only 23.62 (W) x 18.90 (H) x 11.02 (D) inches. (600 x 480 x 280 mm)

There is also a support stand, that is 24.02 (W) x 9.65 (D) in. (610 x 245 mm)

As you can see, it will fit very well in most spaces.

How much does it weigh?

Don't worry, you wont' need to get a concrete reinforced desk! :-) The unit only weighs about 19 lbs (8.5 kg).

Even lighter than the sack of potatoes you bring home from the grocery store...

How does it connect with the switch(es)?

The connection uses a 3.5 mm phone plug. And, not to worry, the jacks for connection are provided for you too.

Note: Be sure the output plug of external switch is a 3.5 mm phone plug.

This assistive device was designed to work in a typical North-American environment. But, if your electrician is asking, it uses:
